The best option is try to search on eBay.  You might think, why eBay? Well, you might not know, eBay actually has a lot and variety of auto repair and service manuals available that are being sold by various sellers every single day.  Their manuals ready for sale can range from all name brands from Acura, Alfa Romeo, BMW, ......to Yamaha.  You can sometimes even find manuals that are for classic or old cars and not even available in your local store or even on the internet.  So if you have a hard time finding the service or repair manual online, why not give eBay a try.  Not only the manuals that are sold on eBay are cheap, you can also get it on CD and just read it off your own computer.  To search on eBay, you can use our search box on the top of right side bar to get you easily started or you can browse the car brand categories on the left sidebar.

1. Make sure you follow your maintenance schedule as outlined in your vehicle manual or owner's manual.  The best one is always follow the guidelines that your manufactured outlined in the manual.  Not only it will not void your warranty, you can also save save money in the long run.
2. Upgrade your engine oil to a higher performance synthetic oil, which can help to prevent internal engine problems and can also improve your car's mileage and performance.
3. Keep all tires properly inflated.  If you have 4 tires all the same size, make sure you rotate your tires often.  It can help your tire last long and also improve your car's mileage.
4. 5. If you notice unusual noise from your car, check with your car's repair manual for troubleshooting steps to diagnose the problem.  You can save your trip to your auto shop by identifying the problem first.  Some problems can be minor and you can even do it yourself.
6. Always take your car to reputable auto repair shop.  There are many reputable auto repair shop, you don't have to necessary bring your car to your dealer for service as they usually cost more than others.

The most common problem found when the clutch goes bad is slipping. This is a result due to the frictional plate started to wear out, and eventually it won't transmit any power from engine to the wheels.

Keep this in mind.  The clutch only wears while the clutch disc and the flywheel are spinning at different speeds.

Here's a Clutch Diagnostic Test
If you find that your clutch has failed, here is an at-home diagnostic test that anyone can perform:

• Start your car, set the parking break, and put the car in neutral.
• With your car idling, listen for a growling noise without pushing the clutch in. If you hear something, it's most likely a problem with the transmission. If you don't hear a noise, proceed to step three.
• With the car still in neutral, begin to push the clutch and listen for noise. If you hear a chirping noise as you press, it's most likely the clutch release, or throw-out bearing. If you don't hear a noise, proceed to step four.
• Push the clutch all the way to the floor. If you hear a squealing noise, it's probably the pilot bearing or bushing.

If you don't hear any noise during these four steps, then your problem is probably not the clutch. If you hear the noise at idle and it goes away when the clutch is pressed, it may be an issue in the contact point between the fork and pivot ball.  Source: howstuffworks

Replacing your car's timing belt is not an easy task.  It probably requires a full weekend to remove all the parts and then reinstall them back again if you are a beginner.  If you have your factory car service manual handy, you should probably always follow it at the first time as it does often point out the details and tips on how to perform certain procedures.

So why do people replace their timing belt?  The purpose of a timing belt is to provide a flexible connection between the camshaft and crankshaft to keep the valves opening and closing in phase with the movement of the pistons.  When you car hits every 60,000 miles, it generally requires you replacing the timing belt.

So, it's usually the best to go for factory service repair manual if you are going to do bigger repair or maintenance jobs on your car, because you don't want to get stuck in the middle of repair and not to know how to do next.
